I realize Raasay that not only were you out of breath but you did not even mention stalwarts like JT, TL Pete Heinz Baked Beans and others worthy rider's in your report and had I not seen the "Black Flash" himself I would never have known you were referring to L3.L6 of FNRttC etc fame. Never the less thanks to JT and your suggestion that I should make my way to the VTTA lunch via "Worth Way" but it was very "Worth" while! If you link to kprc.org.uk you can see the C&M/MWW "Worthy" winners!

Pete
I wrote down the name of one: Andrew French.
The other I don't know; he was waiting outside Tesco, but Pam can confirm his first name. Was it Naveed?

Except after Simon came a cropper and hit the deck on impossibly slippery frost exiting Capel at the right turn to the A24. I dismounted and could hardly stand up. Both he and I "Chickened Out" at the A24 and made our way home via main roads and Leatherhead/Epsom. I gather that the remaing brave riders made it to lunch and safely home.
