I strongly recommend the Overstrand for Easter, you will not be disappointed.
The breakfasts were excellent, and the staff are very friendly.
And the local IOW brew was available too. Hic!
What more could you ask for.

Something else that is worth a mention is the fact that Ryde is a bit of a binge drinkers paradise of Friday and Saturday nights and can be a bit unpleasant.
Shanklin (especially the old town) however has very relaxed atmosphere about it.
