But who confronted the elements and made it to elevenses at West Horsley and lunch at the Barley Mow? Not me! The only report I have received is of Daniel at lunch. His dispatch seems authentic as he reveals that nobody else was there!

Andy, Bob, Paul and I had very nice lunches at the Barley Mow, leaving about 1400 but didn't see Daniel.

Thanks Terry. Was anybody mad enough to cycle to W Horsley GC for elevenses?

After delays to shelter from heavy showers, I made it to the Barley Mow (from 1425 to 1730) and hence can vouch for it being a very worthwhile hostel to visit (food and ale). The good BBC1 TV coverage on a screen there distracted me from venturing further to Ranmore. Sorry to miss the others.
